While sorting through my computer today, I came across this mp3 recording. Don’t know if any of you guys remember, but I wrote this song more than 2 years ago. The vocals are me + my friend Jason.

It’s funny, I haven’t touched my guitar in about 2 years. I don’t think I can even play this song anymore, haha.

70 Million by Hold Your Horses.

I feel like this music video could be my new condensed art history textbook. Watch this please, especially if you are an art nerd.

Also I realised this is my second video post in a week… but ever since I’ve deactivated my facebook accout indefinitely, I don’t have anywhere else to post the cool things I find online. Enjoy!

I finally saw “Where the Wild Things Are” the other day. I absolutely fell in love with the cinematography and the soundtrack. This song in particular, is simply beautiful. It’s called “All is Love” and is sung by Karen O & The Kids.

Now i’ve been sitting on this abandoned beach for years
Waiting for the salty water to cover up my ears
But every time the tide come in to take me home
I get scared, and I’m sitting here alone
Dreaming of the dolphin song…

Maybe one day you will understand
I don’t want nothing from you but to sweetly hold your hand
Till that day just please don’t be so down
Don’t make frowns, you silly clown

Just come and open up your folding chair next to me
My feet are buried in the sand and there’s a breeze
There’s a shadow, you can’t see my eyes
And the waves are just a frothier version of the skies

“Baby close your eyes until tomorrow,
It could bring joy it could bring sorrow,
But it will come sure as light,
Try not to dream a dream tonight,
Imagine that you’re standing here,
And suddenly you disappear,
A thread cut with a carving knife,
That is what they call our life.”

“Prospective Love Song Version 2” featuring Jasondroid.

~~

As promised, here is a re-recording of the song I wrote. Jason’s guitar skills and singing are much much better than my own. We got sick of trying to record a perfect version, so this was the best out of the lot. Excuse the awkward pauses.

I like this song as a duet with this strumming pattern, it gives it a happy, upbeat feel, wouldn’t you agree?
