So I work at a cafe now that makes sandwiches named after famous artists (both music and of the fine arts variety). Some honourable mentions include the Botticelli (with salmon), the Bowie (with the lentil pattie), and the Rueben (with sauerkraut). My dream is to work there long enough that one day I can name a series of 4 sandwiches after the Beatles - the McCartney, Lennon, Harrison and Ringo (or Starr) sandwich. After some discussion, Malcolm and I decided they should include the following:
- McCartney - vegetarian
- Lennon - wasabi, or some other mean Japanese flavourings
- Harrison - bacon (because he wrote a song about Pigs.. or something)
- Ringo/Starr - nothing, because no one will buy it.
Otherwise, I want to name a sandwich after Kandinsky. It will be an ‘abstract’ sandwich full of crazy colours and shapes. That, or a sandwich full of drippy sauce (tomato, barbeque, mayonnaise, etc) named the Pollock.
